SAN FRANCISCO—According to the San Francisco Police Department’s Facebook page, authorities are on the hunt for multiple suspects who were involved in a shooting that injured two people. The incident in question occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m., on Tuesday, February 11 when SFPD officers responded to a unit block of Lucy regarding a shooting.

When authorities arrived they discovered two people suffering from gunshot wounds, who were transported to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for their injuries.

Authorities were able to identify a suspect during their investigation that was spotted in a silver SUV in the area of Hawes and Palou at around 10:00 p.m. When authorities attempted to stop the vehicle, the suspect fled. Police pursued the suspect on the 101 heading south towards South   San Francisco.

The suspects’ vehicle crashed into another car on the 101 near 380. Several occupants ran on foot, including the shooting suspect. Police were able to apprehend the driver, who has been identified as Frenchie Branden, 38. The driver from the other vehicle sustained minor injuries from the collision.  A second suspect who fled the vehicle, Ernest Evans, who was hiding in a marsh was also apprehended by authorities, reports the San Francisco Chronicle.

Authorities found multiple firearms in the silver SUV. The SFPD is actively looking for two people who fled the scene on foot after exiting the silver SUV. SFPD canine units and various agencies assisted in the hunt for the suspects. The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating the collision.
