SAN FRANCISCO—A woman was pulled out of her car by a thief as she was leaving her home in San Francisco on Sunday, February 5, authorities noted.

The carjacking happened around 2 p.m. in the 2100 block of Grove Street in San Francisco’s North Panhandle neighborhood, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

According to reports, the 59-year-old victim was removing her vehicle out of the garage when the incident occurred. She got out of her vehicle to close her garage and as she got back in, a man reached in and pulled her out of the driver’s seat before driving away in her vehicle. 

Authorities indicated the woman was not injured during the incident and there was no sign of a weapon.

Police have described the suspect as a man in his mid-20s. There have been no arrests or any leads to a potential suspect in the carjacking.
