SAN FRANCISCO—A large pothole on I-280 caused a number of flattened tires on Monday, February 6 in San Francisco, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The pothole is located in the slow lane of northbound I-280 at I-380 near the San Francisco International Airport.
The pothole is about 2 feet wide and 1 foot deep, according to CHP officials. Officials are also reporting that the size of the pothole is increasing every time a tire runs through it.
California Highway Patrols officials have warned drivers to be aware of the pothole and avoid the pothole if possible.
It is unclear when officials will be able to fix it pothole. Due to the ongoing rain, repairs have been delayed to fixing the role until later in the week.
