SAN FRANCISCO—On June 18, the San Francisco Police Department announced that several suspects involved in an auto burglary were arrested.

The SFPD reported on May 28, at approximately 5:33 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of California Street regarding an auto burglary.

Officers arrived on scene and learned that the victim’s vehicle was parked inside a parking garage near the 400 block of Kearney Street when unknown suspects stole several items from the vehicle.

Through the course of the investigation, members assigned to Real Time Investigation Center (RTIC) identified one of the suspects as Jalen Bryant, 31, and a potential vehicle associated with him.

On June 13, RTIC alerted members assigned to the Citywide Plainclothes team that ALPR cameras captured the vehicle entering the city. Drone First Responders (DFR) located the vehicle and surveilled it as the vehicle entered a parking garage near Chinatown. Officers assigned to the Citywide Plainclothes team responded to the area at which point an officer overheard the sound of glass shattering. The suspect vehicle is observed fleeing the garage.

Officers located two boosted vehicles inside the garage and met with the victims. DFR and Citywide Plainclothes team continued to surveil the suspects. While surveilling the vehicle, the suspects were spotted dumping stolen items from the auto burglary that were later recovered and returned to the victims.

They continued to flee and with the assistance of BID surveillance cameras, two suspects were observed exiting the vehicle and entering a shop near the 900 block of Market Street while the driver remained in the vehicle.

Citywide Plainclothes officers entered the shop and placed the suspects under arrest without incident. Officers then conducted a traffic stop on the suspect in the vehicle and safely took the driver into custody.

Officers located several stolen items on the suspects and inside the vehicle. The items were seized and returned to the victims at Central Station.

Officers developed probable cause to arrest Bryant, of Antioch, 31, Taekwondo Henry Clay Maxwell, 31, of Oakland, and Icelynnd Lanere, 39, of Pittsburg.

The suspects were booked into San Francisco County Jail for multiple charges including 2nd degree burglary (459 PC), conspiracy (182PC), and possession of stolen property (496(a)PC).
