SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department is currently investigating a fatal shooting that transpired on Thursday, October 26 leaving one person dead.

The SFPD reported at approximately 3:18 pm officers responded to Golden Gate Avenue and Buchanan Street about a shooting. Officers arrived on scene and found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers rendered aid and summoned medics to the scene that transported the victim to the hospital for life-threatening injuries.

A second victim was shot and was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. One of the victims died at the hospital from injuries sustained. The name and age of that victim has not yet been disclosed to the public.

Investigators from the San Francisco Police Department Homicide Detail are conducting the investigation. No arrest has been made currently and the case remains an active investigation.
