STUDIO CITY—On Tuesday, February 26 comedian Andy Dick, 53, pleaded no contest to the charges against him where he groped a woman in Studio City last year.

Dick was convicted of misdemeanor charges of battery and lewd conduct for the accusation that he groped the buttocks of a stranger as well as making inappropriate comments to her. When the allegations were initially made, Dick denied any involvement.

In 2008, he plead guilty to misdemeanor battery charges after yanking down a teen’s shirt, revealing her chest. He was arrested in January 2010 in West Virginia on charges of sexual abuse and allegedly groping a patron and bartender.

The actor and comedian was fired in 2017 from the indie film “Raising Buchanan” after co-workers complained about his non-consensual touching and licking. Dick also propositioned his co-workers sexually. He exposed himself several times in December 2004 at a McDonald’s restaurant, in 2005 at Yuk Yuk’s comedy club in Canada, and in October 2010 at Café Audrey in Hollywood.

Dick was given the option of serving a month in jail or doing community service. The actor and comedian could do either 15 days of community labor or 150 hours of community service, as noted by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. He will be on probation for three years.

If the terms of the sentence are met by Dick, he will not be required to register as a sex offender and the misdemeanor count of sexual battery will not be held against him.

He grew to fame with his role on the NBC comedy “NewsRadio,” and also starred in the films “Zoolander,” “Zoolander 2,” “Dr. Doolittle” and “The Comebacks.”
