SAN FRANCISCO—A shooting between two vehicles causes the eastbound lanes of the Bay Bridge to be shut down on Friday, November 1. 

The shooting transpired around 6:45 a.m. by the toll plaza. A California Highway Patrol alert went out shortly at 7 a.m. warning drivers that all eastbound lanes were closed. 

An off-duty officer witnessed the incident and reported that shots fired from a silver SUV to a black SUV. 

There were no reports of any injuries during the incident, but a Lexus got struck by the bullets.  All lanes were re-opened shortly after 8 a.m.

Authorities have not disclosed a motive for the shooting or released any details on suspects in the case.
