SAN FRANCISCO—On Tuesday, September 29, the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office announced that Cyril Aloysius Hackett, 63, was charged with 2nd Degree Robbery (PC 211) and Assault with Deadly Weapon (PC 245(A)) in connection to an incident that occurred on September 25. He is scheduled to be arraigned on September 30, at 1:30 pm at the Hall of Justice.
Hackett allegedly struck a man with a baseball bat after a dispute over a parking space. Hackett owns Mad Dog in the Fog and Kezar Pub. The victim, Drew Wood, who owns a nearby clothing establishment, The Further, noted to KTVU Fox 2 that the dispute was over a parking space.
Hackett returned to Wood’s establishment several hours later armed with a bat that he slammed on a desk and took a piece of clothing from a rack before leaving the establishment as captured on store surveillance video. As Wood and Wolf, an employee with the Further establishment attempted to retrieve the item, Hackett struck Wood in the knee with the baseball bat outside the store.
