SAN FRANCISCO—On Monday, September 28, the San Francisco Police Department announced that on September 28, at approximately 2:08 p.m., officers from the San Francisco Police Department Richmond Station responded to the intersection of Anza Street and Arguello Boulevard regarding a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.

Officers arrived on scene and rendered aid to the injured pedestrian. Paramedics arrived on scene to transport the pedestrian to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Despite lifesaving efforts of first responders and medical personnel, the pedestrian died from their injuries and was declared dead at the hospital. The name of the victim has not been disclosed to the public.

The driver of the vehicle involved remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation. SFPD’s Traffic Collision Investigations Unit (TCIU) is currently investigating this incident.
