HOLLYWOOD—We are nearing the end of this fantastic season “From” fanatics. This week’s episode, ‘Heavy is the Head’ witnessed viewers getting closer and closer to the truth. At Colony House, everyone was examining, ‘Doll Roger’ who was stabbed by Elgin. Boyd was worried about Donna, and Sophia questioned Boyd about rather the totem worked. That should have been a major clue.
Ellis summoned Donna and Boyd where Fatima explained that she was present when Kenny was in serious danger from last week’s episode. Fatima showed them a terrible marker on her body. What the marker means I have no clue. Ethan was found by Tabitha drawing pictures of everyone in town, as he seemed to fully internalize what Victor said about him being all alone, which worried Tabitha.
For the first time in a very long time, I’m intrigued with what is unfolding with Fatima, just as Jade provided Boyd and Kenny with a model of the tunnels. Jade had ideas of the approach to take to maneuver the tunnels for their safety. Hmm, only 1 way in and out of the chamber where the bones are located. Boyd had a point; they had to figure out an escape route if they can get inside the chamber where the bones are located.
Yeah, it is so obvious Boyd is stressed, but Kenny tried to calm Boyd’s nerves, as it was apparent he heard gunfire that wasn’t really gunfire. Yeah, Boyd’s demons from the past are coming back to haunt him. Henry learned people are investigating the things in storage to ensure they can discover secrets about The Man in Yellow. Henry recalled that same song in the diner that was Miranda’s favorite, while he was back in the real world with Tabitha. That is important.
Patty warned Sophia that things have changed, but why did Sophia seem smitten with Ethan of all people? Major clue alert if you ask me. Tabitha and Ethan paid Victor a visit wanting answers about his past, but against Tabitha’s wishes, Victor planned to school Ethan on everything he needed. Kristie could not provide a diagnosis on Fatima’s strange veins, as Fatima questioned if it was possible she was turning into one of those creatures. Ellis was doing a bit too much this episode that started to get on my last nerves.
Kenny pointed the finger at Jade about making the hard decision to go into the tunnels to locate the bones. Have to agree; can’t make declarations Jade if you’re not willing to risk your life in the process. Boyd informed Kristie that he is seeing things more often and his tremors in his hands are getting worse and they’re connected to Abby.
Sophia stopped by the police station and decided to rummage through his belongings to locate that yellow jacket that she took back to Sara’s abode. This caused Sara to flip out when she spotted Sophia and questioned what she had in her bookbag, and Sara finally picked up that something is off with Sophia. Victor spilled information about the Boy in White who told him he needed to survive with 3 things which included food (canned peaches), pretend to not be alone, and the third thing Victor the audience never learned as Tabitha couldn’t fathom the notion of her son being alone, and stopped Victor in his tracks.
Back at the Diner, Henry had another flashback in a hospital bed, where Victor was much older and he had a son. Whoa could everything that is happening just be one big dream? Kristie was in a tussle with Marielle because she chatted a bit of truth that was a good thing. I’m on Marielle’s side with this one, Fatima’s newfound ‘power’ is helping us getting closer to answers.
While commiserating about Boyd’s antics, Jade discovered there is an escape route above the tunnel, where the bones are located. Boyd discovered at the police station that someone invaded the station and rummaged through his stuff and took the ‘Yellow Suit,’ and alerted Kenny, but they were interrupted by Jade who explained that the BOTTLE TREE is the key to the answer.
Sophia broke into Tabita’s home and stole the pictures Ethan drew. Tabitha realized that she came back to the town after escaping because Miranda wanted her to take Victor home. I got chills witnessing that scene; it felt like a crucial clue to the mystery. Where is Julie and Randall? We have not seen them the entire episode.
Jade, Boyd and Kenny stood near the Bottle Tree. Gotta say, Jade’s plan was quite genius to say the least. Boyd being Boyd dismissed the plan, but what other option is there honestly. Boyd witnessed a brutal vision where Kenny was shot dead, he also saw Jade, Tabitha, Donna and Abby was standing over Ellis’ body.
The hallucination cause Boyd to flip out, just as Henry traveled back to that rainbow rock, and started to question his acid trip that may have caused him to spinout in the worst possible way. My brain is so warped right now with various theories and I’m trying to make sense of everything.
Kristie, please stop halting Marielle from getting answers as it pertains to Fatima. However, something bad is happening, as her heartbeat is very low, and her blood pressure is drastically low. Tabitha arrived back home to hear that phone ringing with an ominous threat: Thomas reaching out to Tabitha, about coming to the RV otherwise Ethan and Julie would be injured.
Boyd ‘saw’ Father Khatri yet again, who warned him to forgive himself for killing his wife. People are dealing with grief, and perhaps Boyd has to take that leap of faith to venture in those tunnels.
Tabitha went back to the RV as threatened and found all of Ethan’s pictures he drew plastered and the Man in Yellow waiting for her. Tabitha was indeed frightened, but the MIY explained he had no plans to kill her, and that she and Jade are doing so well. He warned her that she is about to do something so grand or suffering that is unexpected. So the MIY is more connected in ways that I cannot explain. This episode totally flabbergasted in the worst way. So does the MIY want Tabitha and Jade to solve the mystery, and it looks like he exposes himself next week.
The penultimate episode of “From” arrives next week before the season finale on June 28. Something big is upon us “From” fans!
