SAN FRANCISCO—The mayor’s office has announced that Google has made a $2 million donation to local non-profit organizations that serve San Francisco’s homeless.

Three non-profits were recipients of the donation. HandUp, Larkin Street Youth Services, and the Hamilton Family Center, received money to fund their efforts to offer San Francisco homeless with job training, shelter, and support services.

One million will go to the Hamilton Family Center, an organization that locates homeless families in an effort to find them safe housing situations. HandUp and Larkin Street Youth services will split the remaining $1 million.

Since 2010, Google has donated a whopping $100 million to philanthropic efforts in the Bay Area.
