HOLLYWOOD—It seems like anyone who played a part in the “X-Men” franchise have joined the new cast of “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”  It was announced today that Oscar-winner Halle Berry will reprise her role as weather mutant Storm in the picture.

“Couldn’t be more excited that #HalleBerry has joined the cast of #XMen #DaysofFuturePast. Hopefully she can improve the weather in Montreal,” tweeted Bryan Singer on Monday, March 4.

No discussions have been made on how big of a role Berry will have in the picture, but she joins a growing cast that includes Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin and Shawn Ashmore.

Other actors signed onto the picture include “Games of Thrones” star Peter Dinklage and just this weekend Omar Sy was announced to join the cast as well.  This new chapter in the franchise will bounce between the present and the future which explains the return of notable players from the original “X-Men” pictures. Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult will also return for the sequel.

The picture will be directed by Bryan Singer who has been keeping fans updated with news via his Twitter account.  The film is slated to hit theaters in July 2014.
