SAN FRANCISCO—Singer Janet Jackson along with Florence and the Machine will headline the 2018 Outside Lands Festival this summer. It is the first time that two female artists will headline the three-day festival. The 2018 Outside Lands festival will take place in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park from August 10 thru August 12.

The promoters of the event have been teasing details of the headline performers on Twitter for weeks leading up to the announcement. The festival mascot, Ranger Dave, can be seen on social media plugging the event that spans a wide array of musical genres.

This year will mark the 11th anniversary of the festival that highlights burgeoning artists alongside the main acts throughout the event.  Another Planet Entertainment, Superfly, and Starr Hill are organizers of the festival, which will also feature The Weeknd.

The Weeknd’s EP, “My Dear Melancholy,” dropped last week in the run-up to the event. He is slated to headline the Coachella festival in April. Janet Jackson released her last studio album in 2015.

Variety reports that other acts will include Future, Beck, Bon Iver, Chvrches, Kelela Daniel Caesar, Tash Sultana, and Huey Lewis & The News. Outside Lands is known for its focus on local food, spirits, and comedy, in addition to the musical performers.

Pre-sale tickets have already sold out, while regular tickets are set to go on sale Thursday, April 5, at 10 a.m. PST.
