SAN FRANCISCO—On November 27, the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office disclosed that a suspect was charged for a fatal DUI collision that occurred in the Ingleside District. Jayden Elliot Patrick, 21, of Santa Rosa, was charged in connection with a fatal high-speed collision. He is charged with two counts of murder (PC 187(a)) and one count of reckless driving (VC 23103(a)) with an allegation that it caused injury (VC 23105(a)) and three counts of diving under the influence of alcohol causing injury (VC 23153(a)) with allegations that he caused great bodily injury (PC 12022.7(a)).
The District Attorney’s Office moved to have him detained pending trial due to the public safety risk he poses. According to San Francisco Police Department, on November 25, at approximately 1:20 a.m. officers from Taraval Station responded to Grafton and Jules Avenues regarding a vehicle collision involving injuries.
Officers arrived on the scene and located two vehicles involved in a major collision and observed the two occupants of one vehicle with life-threatening injuries. Officers rendered aid and medics arrived on scene. Despite the life-saving efforts of emergency responders the two adult female occupants of the victim vehicle were declared deceased on scene.
Authorities observed the second involved vehicle at the scene with multiple occupants. The investigation determined that there were four adult occupants in the second vehicle. Three of the occupants were transported to the hospital, one of which had life-threatening injuries and two had non-life-threatening injuries. Patrick, the alleged driver, was arrested by the San Francisco Police Traffic Collision Investigations Unit.
