SAN FRANCISCO—The SFPD arrested an auto burglary suspect on November 21. The SFPD reported on November 15, a victim reported at Central Police Station that her vehicle was burglarized while it was parked in a garage located on the 500 block of Filbert St. The victim reported that a luggage and duffle containing valuable medical equipment were stolen from her vehicle.

On November 21, at approximately 3:20 p.m. officers responded to the 800 block of Pacific Avenue regarding the victim who was tracking the stolen medical equipment with a GPS tracker to that location. Police officers observed an occupied truck parked where the stolen property was being tracked to. Authorities made contact with the occupant of the truck and located the stolen items, which included the stolen medical equipment.

Officers detained the suspect and seized the stolen property, which was returned to the owner. They recognized the detained suspect as a burglary suspect who was wanted for a commercial office burglary that occurred on October 13, on the 200 block of Sutter St.

The SFPD developed probable cause to arrest James Peros, 53. He was transported to San Francisco County Jail where he was booked for the felony charges of burglary (459 2nd Degree PC), grand theft (487(a) PC) and possession of Methamphetamine (11377(a) H&S).
