SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting that transpired on the 100 block of Leavenworth Street on March 16. The SFPD reported at approximately 3:19 a.m., officers from Tenderloin Police Station responded to a report of a shooting.

Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Officers rendered aid and summoned medics to the scene, but the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The name of the victim has not been disclosed to the public. This investigation is being led by the SFPD Homicide Detail.
