HOLLYWOOD—Well in annual tradition the 34th Annual Golden Raspberry Awards were held on Saturday, March 1, paying tribute to the worst films of the year. Yes, they take place just one day before the granddaddy of all award shows: The Oscars! Leading the pack of nominees this year was the Adam Sandler comedy “Grown Ups 2” with a whopping eight nominations, but guess what the film walked away empty handed.

“Movie 43” was the night’s big winner taking home the three awards including for Worst Picture, Worst Director and Worst Screenplay. The film actually contained more Oscar winners and nominees than any film I’ve ever seen. It was supposed to be a comedic masterpiece, but turned into a horror story. The movie tied with the Will Smith sci-fi pic “After Earth” which also worked away with three trophies including Worst Actor for Jaden Smith. The father and son duo claimed two awards apiece, including a win for Worst Screen Combo.

Tyler Perry took home the coveted prize for Worst Actress for his work in “Tyler Perry’s A Madea Christmas.” While reality starlet Kim Kardashian took home the award for Worst Actress for her work in “Tyler Perry’s Temptation.” Worst Supporting Actor went to Will Smith for “After Earth.” Big winners who have actually accepted their Razzie awards in previous years include Sandra Bullock for “All About Steve,” which also happened to be the same year she won the Oscar for Best Actress for “The Blind Side” and Halle Berry who won Worst Actress award for “Catwoman.”
