SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department have arrested several suspects in connection to a string of robberies that have transpired in the Ingleside and Bayview Districts

The SFPD reported that on February 8, at approximately 9:20 a.m. police officers from the Ingleside District responded to the 200 block of Russia Street about a robbery. Officers spoke with the female victim who informed authorities that a male suspect took her bag, that she had slung over her shoulder . The victim indicated that the suspect got away in a red car.

On February 8, at approximately 9:24 a.m. officers from Bayview District responded to the intersection of Princeton Street and Silver Avenue about robbery. Officers spoke to the female victim indicated that a male suspect took her purse, which she also had slung over her shoulder.

Later in the day at approximately 12:19 p.m. officers from Ingleside District responded to 500 Raymond Avenue about a robbery that transpired on the 200 block of Sawyer Street. The female victim indicated that a suspect ran up behind her and pulled her backpack off her back, which resulted in her falling to the ground. She was treated and released at the scene for non-life threatening injuries.

In the process of interviewing the victim of the robbery that occurred on Sawyer Street, an off-duty officer was traveling behind a red car. The occupant threw a backpack out of the vehicle which was later recovered by police. The off-duty officer contacted the Ingleside Station by phone and requested assistance. Plain clothes officers from Ingleside Station spotted a car that matched the description of the vehicle used in the robberies. The vehicle was reported stolen out of Oakland. Officers made contact with the individuals inside the car in a parking lot on Rey Street and were detained without incident.

While investigating the crimes, officers were able to recover all the stolen items in the suspects’ possession.

Taken into custody were Melthon Bracnch, 27, Eugene Holbert, 21 and Shane Holman, 21, all from San Francisco. They were booked at San Francisco County Jail on charges of robbery, conspiracy, possession of stolen items and elder abuse. Due to pending identification matters, booking photos  f the suspects are not being released at this time.
