SAN FRANCISCO—On Wednesday, October 25, the San Francisco Police Department indicated on its Instagram page that five members of the department were honored for going beyond the call of duty and “showed immense bravery, professionalism, and compassion in their police work.”

The officers were honored with awards during a ceremony on Wednesday evening.

Officer Brett Montague of Central Station conducted a months-long investigation that led to the arrest of a person involved in organized auto burglary theft.

Sergeant Nicholas Buckley and Officer Shalane Jackson of Bayview Station were responsible for arresting two individuals who stole a vehicle and they managed to seize a firearm as a result of their quick actions.

Officer Brian Conway and Officer Dexter Cato of Tenderloin Station assisted in recovering more than $15,000 in stolen property from a local business in San Francisco.

“Congratulations to each and every one of you on this well-deserved award,” the SFPD stated on its Facebook page.
