SAN FRANCISCO—On Wednesday, August 20, the San Francisco Police Department announced that the City and County of San Francisco authorized a $200,000 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect(s) responsible for the death of Jordan McKay.

He was shot and killed on September 17, 2008. Jordan had gotten off work and was riding home on his bicycle in the region of 15th Avenue and Cabrillo Street. Three to four individuals in a four-door light-colored 2008 Chevrolet Impala/Malibu stopped their car and tried to rob McKay. He fought back after being attacked, during the struggle, suspect #1 shot the victim, he died at the scene.

The vehicle used by the suspect in McKay’s murder matches the vehicle used in an attempted robbery in the East Bay an hour before McKay’s homicide. It was later determined that the vehicle used in that attempted robbery in the East Bay was stolen. That vehicle was later found abandoned and burned the following day of the murder of McKay on the unit block of Cashmere Street.

Suspect #1 is described as a Black male, standing 6 foot and 1 inch to 6 foot and 2 inches tall and weighs 199-200 pounds. He is between the ages of 9-24 years old. He had braided hair to his check bone and was wearing all black baggy clothing, a black baseball cap worn backwards, dark hooded sweatshirt pulled over his head, with dark denim jeans. He was armed with a black handgun approximately 10 inches long, held in his right hand.

Suspect #2 is described as a Black male, smaller than suspect #1. He was wearing baggy black hooded sweatshirt and baggy jeans.

Suspect #3 is described as a Black male, smaller than suspect #1. He was wearing baggy black hooded sweatshirt and baggy jeans.
