SAN FRANCISCO—San Francisco musicians are gathering together to pay tribute to Canadian singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen, who passed away earlier this month. “Songs of Love and Hate: A San Francisco Tribute to Leonard Cohen” will take place on Sunday, November 27 at 7:00 p.m. at The Chapel located at 777 Valencia Street.

The event will feature Conspiracy of Beards—a 30-piece a cappella choir that performs original arrangements of Leonard Cohen’s music. A handful of other popular local musicians such as Tim Bluhm (of The Mother Hips), Christopher Owens, Sean Hayes, Chuck Prophet, amongst others to be announced, will be performing at Sunday’s event.

In addition to musical performances, author of I’m Your Man: The Life of Leonard Cohen ,Sylvie Simmons will be available for personal reflections and stories of the late Cohen. Simmons will also be performing some of her favorite Leonard Cohen songs.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online for $14-20 and is all ages. The event is in support of the San Francisco Community Music Center.
