SAN FRANCISCO—Officers with the San Francisco Police Department arrested over 20 drug dealers in a five-day drug bust in the Tenderloin District on Tuesday, June 25.

The SFPD reported that the five-day operation was carried out by a seven-member team that was assigned to the areas in and around the Tenderloin District. The team concentrated on that area that has numbers of complaints about the neighborhood.

According to police, the drug bust yielded:

  • More than 20 arrests of drug dealers
  • The seizure of $20,000 in drug bindles that included cocaine, fentanyl, heroin, and methamphetamine.
  • Over $5,000 in cash.  

According to the SFPD, the Department has made 238 arrests to date involving drugs. The bust is part of the police department’s ongoing effort to make the Tenderloin and downtown districts safer along with improving the lives of people who live and work there. Part of that effort includes undercover operations along with walking and examining the areas on foot.
