SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department have arrested a suspect connected to a shooting that occurred in the Western Addition area on June 15. According to a press release from the SFPD, Shadahia Mitchell, 22, of San Francsico was arrested on August 1 at approximately 2:25 p.m. by members of the Mission and Northern Station plain clothes teams on the 3200 block of 17th Street.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. on June 15, officers from the Northern Police Station responded to a shooting on the 1300 block of Steiner Street. After arriving on the scene, they found a 29 year-old male was suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital for treatment, before being released.

Through the course of an investigation, SFPD investigators identified Mitchell and obtained a $2,000,000 arrest warrant. Mitchell was booked at the San Francisco County Jail the warrant violations of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon (firearm), burglary, and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
