SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department Traffic Collision Investigations Unit (TCIU) is asking for the public’s help to find the suspect and vehicle involving in a hit-and-run incident that occurred on August 4.

According to the SFPD, the incident occurred at 1:23 a.m., after officers responded to a traffic collision at Geary Boulevard and 2nd Avenue. The initial investigation revealed that the victim, a 54-year-old man from San Francisco, was crossing the intersection diagonally from the northeast to the southwest when he was struck by the suspect’s car. The suspect was traveling eastbound on Geary Boulevard when the crash transpired.

The driver immediately fled the scene, without stopping to aid to the victim. The victim sustained life-threatening injuries and is still in the hospital being treated.

The suspect’s car is described as a dark colored sedan with likely front end damage. The vehicle was last spotted traveling southbound on Arguello Boulevard from Geary Boulevard.
