SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department have arrested three suspects in connection to an armed robbery on Powell Street. The SFPD reported that on January 2 at approximately 10:50 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Powell Street of a robbery at a convenience store. During the incident, a masked and gloved armed suspected entered the establishment, went to the manager’s office and demanded money from an employee. The suspect fled to a waiting vehicle, driving away with over $21,000 in cash.

Anthony Sherwood, 21, of Daly City. He was arrested and booked at the San Francisco County Jail on felony charges of grand theft, first degree burglary, conspiracy, embezzlement, and misdemeanor making a false report of a crime. A third suspect, Dezmond Tayeh, 24, of San Francisco fled the state, which prompted the involvement of the SFPD’s Special Investigators Division. Tayeh was taken into custody without incident on February 20 and booked at the San Francisco County Jail on felony charges of grand theft, second degree burglary, and conspiracy.
