SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department released video footage of a fatal hit-and-run that occurred in the Tenderloin District. The collision occurred on Wednesday, December 12.    

According to a press release from the SFPD, the victim, a 58 year-old woman, was hit around 3:25 a.m. at the intersection of Bush and Leavenworth Streets.  The victim was later identified by the medical examiner’s office as Teresita Collins.

After being hit by what was said to be a dark vehicle, the Collins succumbed to her injuries at San Francisco Zuckerberg Hospital.  

The vehicle was a dark colored car which traveled from right to left and paused in front of an SUV.  The video footage shows a female driver getting out to look down the street after the collision before fleeing the scene of the crime.

Investigators are asking the driver involved in this collision to contact the San Francisco Police Department’s 24-hour tip line at (415) 575-4444 as soon as possible to arrange an interview regarding the incident.
