HOLLYWOOD—Things picked up precisely where they left off from last week’s episode of “The Oval” with theatrics inside The Oval. This week’s episode, ‘Blow for Blow’ saw Eli wanting answers from Simone and Bobby about that potential hookup that Sam hinted. Jeez, I got so annoyed that I thought a massive secret was about to explode only for Tyler Perry to walk it back when it was so freakin’ obvious, and you made characters seem dumber than they actually are.

That only turned into a steamy session with Simone and Bobby despite just realizing they were exposed. Like WHY IN THE WORLD would you risk such danger? It makes absolutely no sense. However, Bobby will learn the hard way like Max has warned him time and time again. Priscilla really did not have to do too much to convince Eli to allow her to speak to Hunter one-on-one. I’m sorry I just love this banter between Priscilla and Victoria. It is not just witty, but fun as hell to watch. Those ladies hate one another, but the acting is spot on, so it works effortlessly.

Sam threw a fit to the point that he was removed from The White House. He did not go willingly, but it was fun to witness because it is proof that Sam still loves his wife despite cheating on her with Victoria. Dale and Nancy had a conversation about her predicament with Richard and the death of her son. The conversation was not riveting, but it was fun to realize that Nancy had no clue that Dale was gay.

Nancy got hammered literally and I was under the guise that perhaps these two might sleep together, but then it hit me; Dale was barely drinking so that was not likely. Sam flipped his switch as Alonzo and Kyle’s henchman ushered him to his vehicle. However, Richard was there to ease the tension and promised to update him on Priscilla’s situation. In return, Richard asked Sam to check on Priscilla.

Speaking of Priscilla, she made her way to see Hunter, and there was serious firepower aimed at her. Before she could get to Hunter she had to deal with Jason, who proved he has not changed. I mean this guy acted as if he wasn’t responsible for Jean’s death which irked Priscilla. She tried her best to goad Jason to confessing to all his misdeeds, but the youngster was too smart for that.

With that said, Hunter and Priscilla had some ‘pillow talk’ where he was charmed by her demeanor and conversation. She got Hunter to consider her proposal to try to barter a deal with Eli and the others, and Hunter was eating it up. Even I thought Priscilla might have a thing for Hunter, but nope she was just doing her job to take him down, and this guy has absolutely no clue.

Victoria continued to get underneath people’s skin as she poked at Donald by revealing some secrets to Eli. Eli was surprised to learn that Donald is gay and also sleeping with Kyle of all people. The more Victoria pushed to disclose Donald’s secrets the more annoyed he got and I loved every minute of it. There was a point where Victoria used to annoy the hell out of me, but she has become that villain that I love to hate.

Tyler Perry has written her so well America. Donald tried to flip the script on Eli, but he caught what Donald was doing before spilling anything that Donald could utilize as actual leverage. There was talk about Lily, but considering the actress who portrays her is no longer in the credits that is a sign she is not vital to the narrative anymore.

After Simone and Bobby completed their sexcapade, be advised many could catch them in the act, it was clear Simone was in the power position and Bobby was not. Bobby thought he was in the clear, but Victoria smelled that perfume on him giving her confirmation that Bobby and Simone are sleeping together. However, the big shock of the episode was Sam arriving at Richard’s home and catching Nancy in bed with another man! Next week looks absolutely thrilling and I cannot wait, “The Oval” fanatics!
