SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance to donate toys for children in need as the holidays near.  The SFPD indicated on their website on Wednesday, November 8 that for the eighth year, the Police Department in collaboration with Walgreens, the SFPD will be accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys at over 40 San Francisco Walgreens locations beginning Thursday, November 9 through Tuesday, December 19.

Individuals can purchase and drop off a new, unwrapped toy at any Walgreens or any district police station that will be collected by the police department and donated to a child this holiday season.  In 2022, approximately 6,000 toys were donated at the San Francisco Walgreens stores.

The toy drive kicks off at 12 p.m. on Thursday at Walgreens located at 3601 California Street. The toy drive will be collecting gifts at all Walgreens stores in San Francisco.
