SAN FRANCISCO—According to a police report released Monday, August 31, the San Francisco Police Department responded to a call on San Bruno Avenue and Silver Avenue for a report of hot prowl burglary on August 27 at 8:27 a.m. When authorities arrived on the scene they met with a ‘juvenile’ girl who said she walked out of her bedroom to find an unknown man standing in the living room.

The intruder, who police identified as 33- year-old Leyacitonu Masaniai, of San Francisco stood in the living room naked, partaking in sexual gratification. He approached the young girl in her bedroom where he forcefully tried to block her escape. She was able to make it past the suspect and escape. The victim contacted her father and police. The father showed to the scene before the suspect left and was able to detain the intruder until the police arrived and arrested Masaniai.

Masaniai has been charged with five felony counts: two for first-degree burglary, false imprisonment, indecent exposure, and battery with intent to commit sexual assault. An enhancement for committing a felony while on bail/release was added to all felony counts, according to the police report. No social media accounts were found under Masaniai.
