SAN FRANCISCO—On Monday, October 15, officers from the San Francisco Police Department at 1:17 a.m. responded to a shooting that transpired in the Mission District. According to the SFPD, officers arrived at the scene on the 3300 Block of 19th Street in close proximity to the intersection at Van Ness Avenue. Upon closer inspection, they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  

Paramedics from the San Francisco Fire Department responded and rendered aid, but Patton died from injuries he sustained. The victim has been identified as Anthony Patton, 25, of San Francisco.    

SFPD Homicide investigators started an investigation that led to the identity of two suspects. On October 11, Mission Station officers located and arrested 20 year-old Antioch resident Reno Ramos and 27 year-old San Francisco resident Joe Nunezdosangos for homicide.

Both suspects were charged with murder and booked into San Francisco County Jail.  Photos of the suspects have not been released at this time due to pending identification matters.  While arrests have been made, investigators are asking anyone with details on this case to contact the 24-hour San Francisco Police Tip Line at 415-575-4444 or text-a-tip to TIP411 with SFPD at the start of the message.
