SAN FRANCISCO—On Tuesday, February 11, 2025, the SFDA’s Office disclosed that Adonte Bailey, 22, was convicted after a trial by jury for multiple gun charges and shoplifting from Saks Fifth Avenue.
Bailey was convicted of second-degree commercial burglary (PC 459), grand theft (PC 487(a)), two counts of carrying a loaded firearm in a public place (PC 25850(a)), two counts of carrying a concealed firearm (PC 25400(a)(2)), and one count of being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm (PC 29820(b)). In addition, the court found true allegations that he was not the registered owner of the firearms (PC 25400(c)(6)(a)) and that the firearms were loaded (PC 25400 (c)(6)(b)).
According to evidence and other testimony presented at trial, on November 21, 2022, officers with the San Francisco Police Department found Bailey with two loaded Glock-style P80 ghost guns in his possession in the area of Carrizal and Geneva Streets. One of the firearms had a loaded extended magazine and was on his ankle while the other was in his backpack.
The defendant is prohibited from possessing firearms. After he was criminally charged and released on his own recognizance, on March 22, 2024, he was arrested with a ghost gun after stealing two items from the Balenciaga section of Saks Fifth Avenue worth $1,725. Bailey is currently in custody. His sentencing is scheduled for March 3, 2025.
