SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department reported on Monday, February 10, a suspect injured a victim during an attempted robbery on 3rd Street.
The incident was reported at 5:38 p.m. on the 4600 Block of 3rd Street, where officers from the Bayview Station received a call about an attempted robbery. Officers arrived on scene and met with a 74-year-old male who indicated he was walking when an unknown male approached him and struck him from behind multiple times leading him to fall to the ground.
The suspect tried to take the belongings of the victim and flee on foot traveling southbound on 3rd Street. The victim was assessed by paramedics on scene for non-life threatening injuries.
The SFPD is still actively investigating the case and continue to search for the suspect. No details on a suspect description have been disclosed to the public.
