HOLLYWOOD—It’s not surprising that over the weekend, there was some exciting news. No, it’s not that “Wonder Woman” was a box-office success, that was anticipated. The exciting news is that humanity came together through love, at One Love Manchester concert. The moment summed up the estimated benefit show that raised $2.6 million for those affected by the bombing that claimed 22 lives on May 22 at an Ariana Grande concert.
Love and togetherness was a theme: Grande re-released her romantic ballad “One Last Time,” as a charity single; on stage duet with her boyfriend Mac Miller, her friend Miley Cyrus, a local children’s choir, and the Black Eyed Peas. A surprise appearance from Coldplay, Justin Bieber played his hit “Love Yourself.” It even went viral, images of security guards, holding hands and dancing in circles with the teenage and young-adult fans of the show.
Love beats hate, which had an unified message and response of much of pop in the face of terrorism. The three-hour concert was tight on security on June 4. Missing from the line-up was Usher. In an Instagram post, Usher explained how he was forced to pull out to take his son to a special summer camp for children with diabetes. Millions of people watched the concert from home, while others tuned in to the radio.
Love was also brought to George and Amal Clooney when they welcomed their twins and George officially became a dad on June 6. A boy, Alexander and a girl, named Ella. They have also joined the twins club. The next A-lister to give birth to twins will be Beyoncé, who announced the news back in February on Instagram. Lets look at some of the celebrities that have twins: Jennifer Lopez is mom to two beautiful children, 9-year-old twins Emme and Maximillian, whom she shares custody with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
Julia Roberts has 12-year-old twins Phinnaeus and Hazel with Daniel Moder. Miss Roberts also has a 9-year-old son Henry. Mariah Carey and former husband Nick Cannon also had twins, Morocco and Monroe were welcomed on the couples wedding anniversary. Sarah Jessica Parker and husband Mathew Broderick had their first child, James Wilkie, back in 2002. Seven years later, the couple welcomed twin girls, Marion Loretta and Tabitha, via surrogate.
Angelina Jolie, back in May 2008, at the Cannes Film Festival confirmed that she was expecting biological twins. The couple at the time, Jolie and Brad Pitt named their children Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline. The first images of the twins were sold to People and Hello! magazine for a reported $14 million, making them the most expensive celebrity photos ever taken. The breakup of Jolie and Pitt named “Bradxit” was the most unanticipated celebrity break-up the world has ever seen and tipped 2016 to be one of the worst years to date for the A-list scene.
The estranged couple have six children together, three of them were adopted. On March 10, 2002 Angelina adopted her first child from Cambodia. Jolie and then former husband Billy Bob Thornton renamed him Maddox, who was born Rath Vobol. The couple divorced three months later. In 2005, Jolie adopted Zahara from Ethiopia. In May 2006, the actress gave birth to her first biological child, Shiloh Nouvel. In 2007, Angelina went on to adopt three-year-old Pax Thien, from an orphanage in Vietnam. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are reportedly committed to making co-parenting work for their kids. Angelina filed for divorce in September last year after a conflict arose between Brad and their son Maddox, while on a private flight from London to Los Angeles, E! News reports.
