SAN FRANCISCO—Police responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle in the 400 block of Stevenson Street at 9:31 p.m. on Saturday, June 13.

A portion of Fifth Street was closed off to investigate the scene. The bomb squad was called in shortly after an officer on patrol saw a device that raised concerns.

After further investigation by the bomb squad, at 11: 50 p.m. police were notified that the device was not dangerous or lethal.

The incident took place just 11 days after a plane arriving at San Francisco International Airport was the target of one of five phony bomb threats made across the U.S.
