SAN FRANCISCO—Just before 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, a 33 year-old woman in San Francisco’s Bayview District was approached by a group of suspects who assaulted her with a baseball bat.

The victim was sitting in her garage on the 1400 block of Van Dyke Avenue. Five suspects approached her and began arguing with her until one of them struck her with the bat. The group of suspects then fled in an unknown vehicle. The woman was taken to the hospital, where her injuries were determined to be non-life threatening.

Officer Robert Rueca, Public Information Officer for the SFPD, informed San Francisco News that the suspects consisted of three females and two males, all of whom were African-American (their ages are currently unknown). Authorities have not released any additional information on the suspects or the name of the victim.
