SAN FRANCISCO—Officials from the San Francisco Police Department are investigating two separate drive-by shootings that transpired on Wednesday, June 5. The first shooting was reported around Kirkwood Avenue and Earl Street in the Hunters Point neighborhood of San Francisco at approximately 9:30 p.m.

The suspect shot at a group of people, striking and injuring a 57-year-old man. The victim was able to transport himself to a local hospital to be treated for a non-life threatening wound. The victim is expected to survive.

The second shooting occurred at around 11 p.m. in the 400 block of Alemany Boulevard in the Bernal Heights neighborhood. The suspect drove up next to a 20-year-old man and shot him. The second victim was able to transport himself to a local hospital and is expected to survive from injuries sustained.

Police have not released a description of the suspect or the vehicle used in the drive-by shootings. Authorities have not disclosed if the two shootings are connected. Anyone with information is asked to contact the San Francisco Police Department at (415) 575-4444.
