SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department is asking for the public’s help for information about a shooting that transpired on Monday, August 13. According to the SFPD, at approximately 12:17 p.m., officers from Bayview Station responded to a shooting on the 100 block of Kiska Road.

After arriving on the scene, they located the victim, a 43 year-old San Francisco resident, across the street from a youth center.  The victim was suffering from gunshot wounds and officers provided aid until paramedics from the San Francisco Fire Department arrived.

The victim is an employee of the City’s Street Violence Intervention Program (SVIP). The program focuses on outreach and crisis response for youth-related street violence.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the SFPD 24-hour tip line at (415) 575-4444 or Text a Tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD.  Tipsters may remain anonymous.
