SAN FRANCISCO—Otis, an Insta-famous celeb pug was found safe at a homeless encampment Thursday, September 12, after being kidnapped from a San Francisco apartment on Wednesday.

The dog’s owner, Kelly Fitch, who has an Instagram page for ‘Otis The Pug SF’ shared that a “complete stranger” found Otis & “jumped through hoops to get him off the streets.” Fitch expressed her gratitude for the man who found Otis.

Fitch said the burglar entered her apartment and only took the dog, but she told KGO that her security camera captured her door slightly open at 2 p.m. She added that Otis made his way to the door and was kidnapped.

“WE GOT HIM. I’m speechless. Shaking. Emotional. The man who found him is the angel we all prayed for and I can’t even describe what he did to make this happen. A complete stranger who owed me nothing gave me my entire world back and jumped through hoops to get him off the streets and back to me. I will update more later— at the vet now making sure he’s ok. THANK YOU to every single person who searched/shared/commented/hung flyers/and dropped everything to help me. I have no words,” read a post on the Instagram page.

Authorities are unclear if the burglar entered the apartment to kidnap Otis or left the door open by accident.
