SAN FRANCISCO—Police are searching for two suspects posing as utility workers involved in the robbery of a 77-year-old woman that occurred on July 21.

The San Francisco Police Department told the San Francisco News that the suspects rang the victim’s doorbell around 2 p.m. on the 1400 block of Portola Drive, claiming that they were utility workers checking pipes in the neighborhood.

The first suspect distracted the elderly woman while the second took items from the home.

According to the SFPD, the men had made off with two jewelry boxes by the time the officers arrived on scene.

The victim described one suspect as a Hispanic male in his 30s and was unable to identify the second.
