SAN FRANCISCO—On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, the SFPD announced that an arrest has been made in connection to a June 2024 homicide.

The SFPD reported on June 5, 2024, at approximately 10:09 p.m., officers assigned to Mission Station responded to the 500 block of Dolores Street on a report of a shooting. Officers arrived on scene and located a male victim lying on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds.

Officers started rendering aid, and medics responded to the scene, but the victim was pronounced dead.

The SFPD Homicide Unit during the course of the investigation identified the suspect and developed probable cause to obtain an arrest warrant.

On May 25, 2025, at approximately 1:01 p.m., officers assigned to the Community Violence Reduction Team (CVRT) and Mission Station Plainclothes located the suspect on the 5000 block of Mission St. Officers made contact with the suspect, who resisted arrest.

Authorities took the suspect into custody, who was armed with a firearm and a knife during the arrest. The suspect was transported to the San Francisco County Jail where he was booked for homicide (187 PC), resisting arrest (148(a)(1) PC), carrying a loaded firearm in public (25850(a) PC), carrying a concealed firearm (25400(a)(1) PC), carrying a concealed knife (21310 PC), and possession of a large a capacity firearm magazine (32310 PC).

The suspect, who was a juvenile at the time of the homicide, will not be identified at this time, the SFPD indicated.
