SAN FRANCISCO—On Tuesday, May 27, the San Francisco Police Department announced that an armed suspect who got into a physical fight at the Street Festival on May 24 has been arrested.

On May 24, 2025, at approximately 4:54 p.m., officers assigned to the Community Violence Reduction Team (CVRT) were assigned to a street festival in the Mission District when they responded to the area of 24th and Balmy Streets about a physical fight involving multiple subjects.

When the officers arrived looking for the parties involved, they spotted one subject carrying a bag fleeing from the region and running into a bathroom at a nearby community park.

Officers detained the subject and located the bag, which contained a loaded firearm. Adrian Zuniga, 18, of San Francisco, was placed under arrest, and the firearm was seized.

He was transported to San Francisco County Jail and was booked on the charges of prohibited person in possession of a firearm (29820(a) PC), two counts of carrying a loaded firearm in public (25850(a) PC), felon in possession of ammunition (30305(a)(1) PC), committing a felony while on bail or release (12022.1(a) PC), resisting arrest (148(a)(1) PC), and destroying or concealing evidence (135 PC).
