SAN FRANCISCO—On May 27, 2025, the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office obtained a conviction against Scott Michael Reyna, 52, after a trial by jury for attacking a woman in his home. He was convicted of domestic violence (PC 273.5(a)), assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury (PC 245(a)(4)) and false imprisonment (PC 236).
According to the testimony and evidence presented at trial, on the morning of November 11, 2024, Reyna physically attacked a woman, dragging her by her hair and repeatedly hitting her inside his apartment.
Concerned neighbors heard the attack and contacted 9-1-1. In addition to suffering significant distress, the victim experienced bruising to her face and swelling to her forehead as a result of the assault.
“Domestic violence is an insidious feature of every community, unfortunately including San Francisco,” said Assistant District Attorney Gwendolyn West. “I am grateful that the 9-1-1 caller, the victim, and the jury all did their part to interrupt the cycle of violence in this case, making our county safer, inside and out.”
A sentencing date for Reyna has not yet been announced.
