SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department have arrested a suspect in connection to an attempted murder on February 24. The SFPD reported that a male was shot and critically injured near the corner of Vallejo Street and Pollard Street.

Witnesses informed police that they heard a gunshot and saw the victim lying in the street with a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a local hospital where he is still in life-threatening condition.

The SFPD Night Investigation Unit started an investigation into the attempted murder of the victim. On March 14, officers served search warrants at two locations. The searches resulted in the arrest of Nicholas Mar, 30, of San Francisco. He was booked at San Francisco County Jail for attempted murder and firearms violations.

Due to pending identification matters, a booking photo for Mar is not being released at this time to the public. The SFPD is still investigating the case.
