Off-Ramp Hit-And-Run Kills Man

SAN FRANCISCO—A man identified as 24-year-old Abisai May Dzul was struck and killed by a vehicle as he attempted to walk up an off-ramp of U.S. Highway 101 in San Francisco.

Dzul was struck by a vehicle as he attempted to walk through the Alemany Boulevard off-ramp towards northbound Highway 101.

At approximately 9:08 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, California Highway Patrol officers received a call reporting a man walking through the Alemany Boulevard exit towards northbound Highway 101. Minutes later a call came in confirming that Dzul had been struck by an exiting vehicle.

Paramedics and law enforcement rushed to the scene and attempted to revive Dzul, but he died on the scene from injuries he sustained.

During the rescue effort, the third lane on U.S. Highway 101 northbound was closed, a closure that remained in effect until just before midnight on Monday.

Per law enforcement, the vehicle that fatally struck Dzul did not stop after the collision. CHP is now asking for public assistance in bringing the hit-and-run suspect(s) to justice.
