UNITED STATES—The USA football team will be devastated that they were unable to qualify for the world cup for the first time in 32 years. They have been an ever-present side in the competition of late and perhaps they took their spot for granted. World Cup 2018 will have some new teams to cheer for and support this year such as Panama who will make their World Cup debut. As well as the USA, other big sides that failed to qualify for this years’ cup were Italy and Netherlands.

Italy would be absolutely devastated not to qualify as they have some very quality players in their squad such as Buffon, Chiellini, Bonucci, Insigne, Veratti, Immobile, Marchisio and many other world class footballers who deserve to be playing at the top stage, instead of sitting on the side lines and watching the games. The Italians won the world cup in 2006 after defeating France in the finals. Buffon will feel devastated to have missed out as he is 40 years old now and 4 years seems a rather long time to go to play in another World Cup. The Italians are busy going through a transition phase with some of the old guard making way for fresh young talent and that could be one of the main reasons for the failure to qualify.

Netherlands on the other hand have been going through a rough spell for a few years now as they were unable to qualify for the Euros in 2016 and now for the World Cup in 2018. World Cup tips is the best platform to visit if you are looking to make world cup bets. Some of the big name players we won’t be seeing in the world cup this year of the Orange shirted football team are Robin van Persie, Memphis Depay, Jasper Cillessen, Virgil Van Dijk, Georginio Wijnaldum and many other world famous players. Ronald Koeman has taken charge of Holland and he is hoping to turn their fortunes around and get them winning games and qualifying for big tournaments again. The Dutch have produced some of the worlds best footballers in the past such as Johan Cruyff, Patrick Kluivert, Van Basten, Ruud Gullit Denis Bergkamp and this list goes on and on!! It is a sad state of affairs to see a nation like this falling from grace so rapidly.

USA will be feeling sorry for themselves when the competition starts in June but it will be chance for them to consolidate and start building a new squad that is capable of playing in the World Cup come Qatar in 2022.
