SAN FRANCISCO—A robbery involving pepper spray transpired in San Francisco’s Southern District on Sunday, October 22. Public Information Officer Robert Rueca, of the San Francisco Police Department Media Relations Unit disclosed the incident.

The incident occurred on the 500 block of Howard Street at approximately 2:00 a.m. The victim was walking by the parking lot when the suspect attacked him with pepper spray before stealing a watch, a pendant necklace, and several credit cards.

The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries, but officials did not indicate whether  the victim was transported to the hospital.

The suspect’s identity is completely unknown. No arrests were made, and no additional information regarding the crime has been released.
