SAN FRANCISCO—On Wednesday, June 3 at approximately 12:00 p.m., Mayor London Breed announced via Twitter, that the citywide curfew would be ending on Thursday, June 4, at 5:00 a.m.

San Francisco  enacted the citywide curfew on Sunday, May 31 that begin at 8:00 p.m. and ended at 5:00 a.m. on Monday June 1. The curfew required residents to remain indoors during those hours excluding police officers, firefighters, members of the National Guard, and other city or county employees engaged in authorized emergency operations. People going to and from work, journalists, reporters, and the homeless were exempt from the citywide curfew.

According to the Mayor’s emergency order, the curfew was originally set to end on Saturday, June 6. The San Francisco Board of Supervisors met on Tuesday, June 2, to potentially renew the curfew. The Board of Supervisors decided to table the discussion and planned on discussing it again at a meeting scheduled for Thursday, June 4.
