SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco State University (SFSU) Men’s Basketball team has just ranked No. 25 in the nation in the National Association of Basketball Coaches(NABC) NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Rankings. The team was officially ranked on Tuesday, December 6. This is the first time the Gators have achieved this standing since the school’s 1993-1994 season. This season’s team is headed by coach Paul Trevor.

Since the start of their 2016 season, the SF Gators have had an 8-0 record with 47 points. The team secured their spot on the NABC/Division II Rankings after defeating Cal State East Bay 80-65 on Saturday, December 3 at The Swamp. This win also marked the best start in their season history since the 1941-1942 season according to the Golden Gate Xpress.

The Gators played against the Division I University of San Francisco team, losing 91-59 Wednesday, December 6. They have another game against Sonoma State University on Friday, December 9 at 5:30 p.m.
