SAN FRANCISCO—Authorities from the San Francisco Police Department have arrested Michael Sione Green, 24, of San Mateo, in connection to the murder of a woman that occurred on November 16, 2013. Green was apprehended by members of the SFPD Major Crimes Unit on Friday, May 16, 2014.

According to a press release from the SFPD website, Green was arrested in Florida, with assistance from the Miami Police Department and Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

The incident in question took place at a nightclub located near 6th Street and Jessie, where at 2:10 a.m. on November 16, 2013, a group of friends who were leaving the nightclub, the female victim and her passenger got into a minor accident with another vehicle in a parking lot.

The driver was approached by a female described as a Pacific Islander, around 6 feet tall, in her 20s and wearing a red dress. The female attempted to open the driver’s door, when the victim exited her vehicle and tried to calm down the “angry female suspect.”

This is when the suspect, Michael Green, armed with a gun, shot and killed the female passenger and wounded the driver. He was last seen driving a 2001 Mercedes with the California license plate 4UIP704. The SFPD would like to thank the Miami Police Department and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for assisting with this case. Green will be extradited to San Francisco and booked on murder and attempted murder charges.
