SAN FRANCISCO—On Friday, November 17, the San Francisco Police Department announced that two suspects in a suspicious death that unfolded in the Richmond District back in August 2023 have been arrested.

The SFPD reported on August 13, at approximately 7:24 p.m., officers assigned to Richmond Station responded to the area of Fulton Street and 22nd Street on a report of a deceased person.

Upon arriving on the scene, a witness told officers they located the unresponsive adult female and contacted police. Officers summoned medics to the scene who pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

The San Francisco County Medical Examiner responded and declared the death suspicious. Due to the suspicious nature of the death, investigators from the SFPD Homicide Detail responded to lead the investigation. The San Francisco County Medical Examiner later ruled the cause of death undetermined.

Through the course of the investigation, investigators identified two suspects in connection to this incident, later identified as Alexander Madden, 26, and Emilia Beckhusen, 33.

On November 2, officers arrested Madden on a Ramey warrant for unlawful disposal of human remains (7054(a)(1) HS) and conspiracy(182(a) PC). Beckhusen was arrested on November 4 on a Ramey warrant for unlawful disposal of human remains (7054(a)(1) HS) and conspiracy (182(a)(1) PC).
